In 2013 Sloan-C was fortunate enough to have Dr. Kristen Betts as moderator for the Accessibility Webinar series. The series was a premier offering including four 90-minute webinars. The series focused on accessibility, including federal regulations, available resources, invisible disabilities, and effective practices for student and faculty success.
Each webinar brought together a panel of administrative leaders, faculty, and students with accessibility expertise from across the United States who will provide individual and collective perspectives to working with students and faculty with disabilities in online education.
The series brought a large audience, with over 700 registratons and hundreds of attendees at each event. The most popular panel on Accessibility Specialists drew over 300 individuals. It's no accident that Sloan-C was able to bring together this outstanding participation from the community. One of the chief reasons for the series' success was moderator Dr. Kristen Betts.
