Whether used inside or outside of the classroom, social media provides opportunities to enhance and improve engagement and achievement. By exploring examples of these efforts at the course, program, or institutional level, and making clear connections to course and program goals, faculty, staff and administrators can identify meaningful ways to engage learners using social media. This workshop will explore popular social media tools (such as Facebook and Twitter) as well as the broader spectrum of social media tools that play a role in education.
