Download the 2011 Program Book (.pdf 4MB)
In an effort to be a bit more "green" and in response to overwhelming participant feedback, this year we are trying something new - a downloadable (.pdf-format) program book.
We encourage you to start planning which sessions you'd like to attend!
Please note that we will not be handing out printed program books at the conference site, but you will be able access the program book online with your laptop (or other wifi enabled device that can read pdf), in our email lab or on computer kiosks set up in the conference area. (We will be handing out smaller printed Schedules at a Glance when you check in at the registration desk.)
|Information Session||Give a 50 minute presentation in which you share information related to one of the learning tracks. Each 50 minute presentation should include 5-10 minutes for questions, answers, and discussion with the audience.|
|Poster Session||Design a poster to share the main points of your research results or program related to a learning track. You will participate in a display of your poster for one 90-minute session dedicated to poster presentations only. Poster presentations provide the opportunity for you to both expand your audience and interact individually with interested viewers. We will provide a display board, a small table for your graphic materials and an outlet for your computer.|
|Interactive Workshop||Design an interactive group session related to a specific area of focus that will provide tangible "take-away" information and engage the audience for a 90 minute or 3 hour session, depending on the length needed for the workshop. Each workshop session should include time for questions, answers, and discussion with the audience. Final determination of workshop length will be made by the program chair.|
|Great Idea: Effective Practice||Great Ideas presentations highlight effective practices in short fast-paced presentations limited to 15 minutes and 5 slides. Great Ideas presentations focus on one specific practice that can be generalized to other situations. Great Ideas are shorter and more focused on one effective practice than traditional conference presentations.
Great Ideas will be eligible for Sloan-C Effective Practice Awards to be awarded during this session.
