Abstract

Sure, sure, flipped classrooms are all the rage. But: are your students engaged and learning? Come learn how to create interactive videos using three applications that, while useful on their own, can combine to make powerful, interrogative lessons.

Lead Presenter

Ben Scragg is the Program Manager for the College Ready Ohio grant in the Office of Distance Education and eLearning at The Ohio State University. College Ready Ohio is a unique partnership at the intersection of online learning and K20 dual enrollment, dedicated to increasing early, affordable college access and to high school students and providing technological professional development for K12 educators. Ben has worked with educational technology as an instructional designer and as a learning specialist at OSU since 2007, and taught blended classes for student athletes on personal and career development through the College of Education Human Ecology and Student Athlete Support Services Office. Prior to his time in Columbus, Ben taught high school social studies with Chicago Public Schools. Ben has earned masters degrees in philosophy of education and business administration at The Ohio State University. His interests include educational philosophy, digital narrative learning, and the work of Frank Lloyd Wright.
